III. Personality
Personality: Tetsu is a very serious person ever sense his awakening of his powers several years ago in an encounter with a group of weak hallows. He has a very strong belief in humans must stick together
to fend off the terrors of the world like the hallows and to a lesser extent the self righteous shinigami. His belief is that without a united front human kind will be subjugated by the other races. Fiercely loyal to the Quincy emperor for saving him from another group of hallows, far stronger than the previous ones, a year ago. Brought down to earth and his eyes forced to open from the harsh reality from his encounters with multiple hallows. His "innocence" was lost to him along with the remainder of his childhood; this leads him to be harsh and unforgiving in combat. Some compassion remains for any he would call comrade, as well as for the unknowing masses that he has taken it upon himself to protect. When dealing with other humans that have a sense of honor like the Quincy do, Tetsu shows honor in turn as well as battle courtesy, but to scum like hallow no mercy is given because no mercy can be expected in return. His beliefs could be considered in a way patriotic to the human race.
Likes: Strength and the willingness to use it to help others with it is something that Tetsu respects if not likes. Seeing people act honorable and respectful, playing fair, can bring a smile to his face, or if not appropriate at the time, on the inside because it shows that humanity is worth trying to save and protect, and that others can might be able to take up the burden he carries if he were to fall. In his free time Tetsu is a fan of manga and anime ever sense he was a kid but doesn't get the change to read often nowadays. Favorite foods is rice with soy sauce.
Dislikes: Tetsu greatly despises hallows of all sorts partly because of his bad history with them, and partly because they pose a threat to all humans, an assault against his ideology. Shinigami also are disliked but for a different reason that hallows; The so called "death gods" serve a good purpose; that being of balance. The source of his dislike is from the shinigami's actions both past and present; that of the Quincy and shinigami war from long ago and their righteousness and smug confidence that they know best, that they are the sole hallow eradicators. In addition to his dislike of the spirit races Tetsu's personal code of honor is insulted when reasonable beings like humans and to a lesser extent shinigami, act dishonorably shaming their elovated status as sentient being. Shinigami in the past have proven themselves not trust worthy so he expects a degree of underhandedness from them by default.
Motivations: Tetsu's motivation comes from a burning desired to spare any he can from the horrors and torment he has experienced. He has taken sort of a mantle of protector for the weak and to do that he seeks to grow more and more powerful and know more of the phenomena that has granted him his powers, so that no one can challenge his goals, and so that more people don't have the burden thrust on them unwillingly. He has also heard the Quincy's message and found kindred souls among them; now Tetsu strives to further their goals how ever he can.
Fears: His deepest fear and his outer fear are nearly the same thing. On the outside he fears death because it is the end of the life he knows and the pain it brings; as well as the inability to continue helping the normal humans and the helpless. Tetu's deeper and darker fear that he is afraid to give light to is what he will happen to his soul when he dies; will his soul be eaten and destroyed by a hallow, forever ending his existence; even worse will his soul be sent to hell because of how ruthless and harsh he is against his enemy

Description: By manipulating the passive abilities of the blade, Tetsu can launch a sonic boom down the length of the blade in a cone shape. Launching a wave of sound that is effective up to 15 meters from the blade. The sound wave can be detected by some one with Novice perception skill. The focused schock wave can blocked completly by an equal or higher power if the target would otherwise take the full brunt of the attack. When the least focused the blast requires a Apprentice technique to stop the wave from hitting it's main target. When the wave of sound makes contact with anything, physical or spirit, a pressure blast happens causing gashes. The blast's strength is inversely related to the size of the cone. If the cone is as wide as it can do(10 meters tall at 15 meters away) the blast is about as strong as a Novice attack to everything hit causing light bruising, if the cone is as focused as it can be (the thickness of the blade) then the blast is equal to a Master causing possible crippling a limb if hit at an unprotected limb, or if on an area thicker than a limb like the torso, many deep gashes about 4 inches deep
V. History
History: Tetsu was born several years to a family of good influence that had began to fall into obscurity for several years. A near tragedy occurred several months before Tetsu's birth when his mother lost her right arm in a freak accident and nearly her life as well. What really happened is not spoken of inside or outside of the family, but the stub of his mother's arm bore what appeared to be teeth marks from a giant mouth. The remaining months leading up to his birth were calm and peaceful for the family, during a month of unexpected prosperity for the family, so Tetsu was brought into the world in a time of peace and happiness. The peace and prosperity was shattered when the hallow from several months previously returned to eat the family. Tetsu was only saved by the timely arrival of a group of Quincy that had scared it off the first time and had been trying to catch up to the hallow ever sense to finish it off. While Tetsu was to young to truly remember that day and what happened then it scared him to have his parents killed with him there; it also left a strong imprint on him for the Quincy that saved him as well as all Quincy in general. The only remains of his parents was his mothers wedding ring which he has kept with him ever sense that day as a reminder of his parent's love.
The early phases of childhood were not nearly as soft and kind as his infancy, but nether were they harsh as an outlaw's life thanks to the inheritance of his family. Raised by loyal servants and trusted friends of his deceased parents, they protected him from several attempts by members of the family to steal his inheritance as he was growing up. As befitting of his wealth he naturally attended some of the finest private schools in japan and thanks to his natural talent he excelled in both academics and athletics while attending. His natural genius allowed him to even advance ahead several grades above the fellow year mates earning him many recommendations for a great number of collages. The harshest challenges of his childhood and early teens were that of his extended family constantly trying to discredit him or take control for themselves and their part of the family. Unfortunately it was only a matter of time before they succeeded and removed Tetsu as head of the family, after all a 10 year old can only do so much to keep in control. While he was striped of much of his assets and influence it was impossible for them to remove him completely with out having him killed; so Tetsu remained looked after and well educated but completely cut off from the rest of the family going business.
One summer 5 years after being all but cut out of the family, having just graduated high school, Tetsu encountered horrors of his past, this time slightly better able to handle them as a teen instead of a baby; age would have made no difference to the group of hallows that had found him unfortunately. After nearly having his neck torn out by the bite of the first hallow his Fullbringer latent abilities finally awoke in him. With his mother's ring suddenly a crystal sword in his hand the weak group of hallows posted little threat thanks to the body he had honed thanks to numerous sporting teams he had joined at the schools he attended. His encounter left him with three things; a strange mark on his neck, Fullbringer abilities, and the motivation to find out what whats going on and to stop it. Sense that day hallow attacked him more and more frequently because of his growing spiritual power; at first it was only a hallow one ever couple of weeks but as time progressed the attacks grew more and more often to the point of normally several attacks each week with two or thee hallows in the same day. This force his abilities to grow further and further, being able to stabilize his initial sword release in a very short amount of time, only a week's time spend meditating on his powers. Eventually Tetsu brought out the final form of his mother's ring, a large hand a half sword with a blue blade and a elaborate hand guard. Knowing that he was not the only one that he creatures preyed on Tetsu searched and hunted for them to try to protect the helpless people that they devoured, taking upon the role of "spirit vigilante" or as he liked to think "paladin" to try and stop what had happened to his own family when he was a infant. To find hallows easier he would some times keeping watch over individuals that the hallows seemed to like to target until he had killed enough that hallows no longer targeted them and then move on to the next person to watch over. The individuals he found targeted the most were not always ones with high spiritual pressure; sometimes they had lost a loved one in the past couple of years leading him to suspect that there was a connection between the hallow and the person that it was attacking.
Testu's first encounter with the so called gods of death, the shinigami, happened one day nearly a year after his first awakening, when he was about to engage a hallow he had found when a group of 5 black kimono clad spirits showed up. Three of them quickly leaped in to dispatch the hallow, while the other two approached him. With great enthusiasm Tetsu hailed them as friend and comrades and began to ask if they knew the truth of all of it. They returned his greeting with some kind of strange poem, and then Tetsu could no longer move his body as the two calmly picked him up and knocked him out. Waking up he found himself bound and sitting in a room with 6 other people, the 5 from earlier, no longer spirits but flesh and blood his senses told him, and a older man who was finishing up what sounded like a lecture to the two that had spouted poetry at him and knocked him out. After finishing lecturing what appeared to be his subordinates based on their reactions he walked over and squatted down in front of Tetsu and apologized for his subordinate's actions earlier. The old man went on to remove the bindings and sat down in front of his now released captive and started answering any questions he could. During this little Q and A session Tetsu had many of his suspicions confirmed about the hallows, but was shocked to learn that they were human souls at one point. After learning what shinigami's job was Tetsu accused them of allowing the hallows to attack his parents all the years ago; to which the old man replayed sadly that they couldn't know everything and be everywhere which is why they were only now getting to the young kid. The group then left with one last message, a warning, to stop hunting down hallows because that is the shinigami's job, and they are the only ones that can do it properly.
Several weeks pasted after the group of shinigami had left him with the warning and in that time he had seen no hallow at all, not even just moving around; apparently that group was now patrolling the area and finally fulfilling their job. In fact the next time "Paladin" was called on to fight was the one fight that was nearly his end. Coming home from the store one night a large group of 8 large hallows surrounded him and attacked with nearly no warning. Despite his best efforts, and destroying a good chuck of the surrounding area with his sonic blasts, the wounds he sustained during the initial surprise finally dragged him down enough that the remaining hallows could pin him down. Paladin's arm was nearly bitten clean off when 4 spirit arrows sniped off all by one of the remaining creatures, which then fled from the reinforcements. Sanding at the origin of the arrows stood 2 Germanic men in white uniforms holding shimmering blue bows. After helping patch his wounds and make sure he wouldn't loose this arm, they were kind enough to see him back to his apartment, even going so far as to help carry the grocery he had bought. While at home they two men shared with him the truth of the shinigami, how they wanted to keep tight dominion over the spirit world, discouraging or even killing any that refuse to give up their power no matter how nobly they used it; like they had done a thousand years ago to their ancestors, a group of battle monks called the Quincy that could wield spirit bows. After chatting and getting to know each other over the remainder of the night Tetsu invited the two to stay the night sense he learned that they had no other place to go on account of being cut off from their group by choice. In the morning Paladin was awoken by the returning hallow that had gotten away the night before. It had broken in through the wall and had managed to kill one of his guests before any one could react. Never before had killing a hallow been sweeter to Paladin that it was that morning. With a heavy heart the renaming Quincy decided to take his comrade's body back to their disorganization for proper burial, but to leave a reminder of the friendship that could have been, he left his friend's Quincy cross behind. Holding it in his hand he could feel the weight of it's history in his hand, and the powerful soul that lay with it in, attuned enough to his own soul that he could bring forth the soul's form much like he did with his mother's ring.

RP sample: Standing next to the broken wall the hallow had used to gain entry to his home, not even two hours before that morning, with his now deceased friend's medallion in hand that seemed to grow slowly heavier and heavier in his had the more he focused on it. Sensing the spirit inside the medallion was much like the one he could feel emanating his ring worn on the ring finger of his right hand but at the same time different and flavored with the determination it's last owner had that let him carry on the hard life he was give. Reaching into the cross with his mind just like he did with the ring each time he brought forth the sword that had served him so well these past 2 years, Tetsu could almost feel the memories that were carried with in the silver 5 pointed cross; how his friend had made it himself to his own design and the pride at how well it finally turned out.
So deep with in the memories that he failed to register the clock across the room chime out noon. Only when the door bell rank did his concentration break. After a moment to regain his bearings did he realise that the cross no rested in his hand, in fact nothing was in his hand but the air. Startled and thinking he dropped the strange 5 pointed cross Tetsu quickly cast about the floor looking for it, completely forgetting the doorbell that rang but a moment ago. After a moment more of looking Tetsu was shocked to find his torso enveloped in a shroud of energy that was breaking down even as he began to inspect it. With out getting more than another glance at what it had tried to form it vanished, reforming back into the original form appearing on his chest where a necklace normal would hand. Catching it before it hit the floor Tetsu thought to himself about where to get a chain from so that he could wear it as a necklace instead of carrying it in his pocket, when a heavy knock on the door reminded him of the contractor he had called earlier. Approaching the door Tetsu says aloud to himself "Has it really already been four hours sense i called them?" Peering into the eye hole to ensure that no nasty surprises waited him on the other side of the door. After confirming the man on the other side of the door was indeed his contractor he gave the handle a twist and pulled the stout oak door open. Immediately the contractor said with obvious inpatient "I am here to start on the wall you called about" Nodding to the man as he also steped out of the way Tetsu replied distractedly " I will be upstairs if you need me, the hole shouldn't be to hard to find just follow the draft" By the time the door was closed again Tetsu was already deep in thought about what this new object meant, and how he could carry on both his own purpose and pay homage to his dead friend. Perhaps it was time to find some more Quincy.
